Configuration Options

Server Configuration
smsPULSE basic configuration, required in all set-ups

Client Configurations
smsPULSE offers true freedom in configurations for use by end-users.
For notes about each of the options see at the bottom of the page.

  1. This is the simplest of all options where users share the smsPULSE main database with the server add-in task. The add-in updates entries in this database with the status of delivery. Messages are kept private for their users. Any application capable of using the Domino rich APIs can write message data to this database.
  2. Branch or home users simply create messages in their local replicas. When messages reach the server through replication, the smsPULSE server add-in sends them out and updates their status. Users can "rush" their messages by checking an option, which simply forwards the message to the sms mail-in database, if one has been specified.
  3. Notes mail users send messages by simply addressing these to the designated email address of the mail-in, typing mobile numbers into the subject (in the appropriate format <CountryCode><NumberWithNoSpaces), then typing text in the body.
  4. Option 5 allows external users, which you specify in the system profile, to send messages to the mail-in.
